I won this game the first 3 times I played it. It is like Stratego only better. Equal pieces roll a d6. There is a 1, 2, Champion, and Archer. So not so much power for the 1 only. Power pieces more spread out. In Stratego if you lost your 1 and the other player did not game over; not so with Tacticus. Certain cards can increase the power of the Archer and Champion. Cauldrons are better than bombs. Very fun and fast game. Also mountains and other advantage cards. Names on the block like pieces a blast from the Bible.

This game is similar to Stratego. It is a bit more complicated and interesting though. Plays in about 25 minutes. Fast and fun game. I like it.
